Dates don’t always go to plan but we’ve worked out some tips to make sure you’re on the right track when it comes to working out the plan.
Make sure it’s something you enjoy
If there’s a movie that you’ve been dying to see, a new restaurant that you’re curious to try, or a museum exhibit that you want to check out, a date is a great excuse to get yourself there. “If you do something you’ve always wanted to do anyway, then you can’t lose. And it will make you a better date because you’re having fun,”
Many mishaps happen on dates, but you’ll make a far better impression if you simply go with it than if you complain. So ignore the little niggles and focus on your date not the small things.
Leave your troubles behind
A first or second date is not the time to discuss your cheating ex-boyfriend, your alcoholic mother, or your crappy day job. You can be honest without plunging into the darkest depths of your soul. Just like staying calm, focus on the date and the moment, not your bad day, week, year. Your dates not going to want to hear it any more than you want to hear about their troubles.
Location location location
Now that you’re in the mindset that this first meeting is an experience, not an interview, where do you go? Luckily we help you find the perfect date idea. Share the idea via FB or email and see what they think – unless it’s a surprise then just plan it well.
Date ideas vary from free to expensive so choose something thats appreciated and you will both enjoy. Contact the venue or location beforehand to confirm any unknowns.
Surprise but don’t scare
We’ve got lots of adventurous date suggestions but they aren’t always for everyone. Consider your date and what they may like before you plan the most adventurous option out there.
If you plan well, discuss and stay relaxed then choosing the perfect date can be easy and result in a very enjoyable time.
